Details of the picture
Species: orca (Orcinus orca).
Place: Loro Parque.
Taken in May 2014.
Camera: Canon EOS 1100D, EF-S 18-55 mm DC.
Comment: Morgan is a young female orca rescued in the Wadden Sea (Holland) in June 2010. She was found as a baby lost from her family, thin and malnourished. She was taken to Dolfinarium Harderwijk, where her health was stabilized. She was declared as non-releseable animal due to her young age and her deafness. Morgan was moved in November 2011 to Loro Parque to be integrated to the orca family there; she have adapted very well to her new group. (To learn more about Morgan, click here).

I read online that Morgan finally gave birth yesterday and that she's currently bonding her baby. I hope everything continues to go well for her.
